Some Dogs Bite - 2010




Our major 90-minute film, Some Dogs Bite aired on BBC3 in November 2010. Written by Lin Coghlan and directed by BAFTA award-winning director Marc Munden, Some Dogs Bite is a tough but tender story about Britain's lost youth. Starring Thomas Brodie Sangster, Aaron Taylor and Michelle Asante, Some Dogs Bite is the story of three brothers on the road and on the run. When 15 year old Casey takes his baby brother from foster care, older brother H is forced to look after them both. By turns heart-breaking and heart-warming, Some Dogs Bite is a journey that everybody should take.

The film received excellent reviews, a US premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival and garnered a cult following through it's Facebook and Twitter pages. You can read the glowing reviews here. The film also has a groundbreaking official website, where the viewer can continue the story of H, Casey and Severino and make choices for the characters that affect the outcome of the narrative. Jinx - 2009




Jinx is a 13 x 30’ magical sitcom for 6 to 12 year olds produced by Kindle Entertainment for CBBC. Based on the already successful books from the 'Lulu Baker' trilogy by Fiona Dunbar, this comedy-drama series charts the adventures of Lulu Baker, who might look like your typical teen, but she's got a very cool secret – she’s the proud owner of a magic cookbook. The possibilities are endless and life would be perfect except that the guardian of the book, Cookie, is a mischievous imp and her recipes never quite turn out as Lulu planned. But, hey, with big power comes big responsibility, right? And Lulu always tries really hard to fix the unforeseen side-effects…

Lulu Baker has already been published in the UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Hungary, Eastern Europe, Japan and France.

Dustbin Baby - 2009




Dustbin Baby won the International Emmy for Best Children's in 2009.

Kindle Entertainment were delighted to produce this feature-length adaptation of the best-selling Jacqueline Wilson novel. It aired as part of BBC1's Christmas schedule and was watched by 2.3 million. The ITV DVD is now available from good high street shops and from Amazon, which you can access here. Dustbin Baby is a powerful family drama which tells the heartbreaking but ultimately uplifting story of teenager April (Dakota Blue Richards), who sets out to discover where she came from, and on the way discovers where she belongs. Also starring Juliet Stevenson and David Haig.

With a BAFTA-winning screenplay by Helen Blakeman (Pleasureland), and produced by Julia Ouston along with BAFTA-winning Director Juliet May (Miranda), the film was shot on location in and around London, including Hatfield House and High Barnet. ITV Global Entertainment Ltd are distributing Dustbin Baby internationally.

My Spy Family - 2008




Do your parents bug you? With tiny microphones?

The Bannons are not your average family - but with two retired super-spies as parents, the children were destined to be anything but ordinary! After fighting the world's most nefarious villains, the family must now take on new challenges - from fancy-dress fun runs to school quiz nights, life will never be the same again! My Spy Family shows everyday on Boomerang, and recently completed production on it's fourth series.

Paul Alexander is the creative talent behind the show and brings a wealth of fantastic writing experience, having written for a range of shows including the hugely popular My Parents are Aliens, My Family and My Hero. It is produced by Bernard Krichefski, and stars Milo Twomey and Natasha Beaumont as the Bannon parents, Dirk and Talia; Vas Blackwood as Des, their colleague from spying days, and Ramon Tikaram as Mr Vong, the teacher guaranteed to make his pupils life a misery – just by existing. The Bannon family are played by Alice Connor, Joe Tracini and Ignat Pakhotin.

Harry Potter: Behind the Magic - 2007-2011


The first programmes under the Kindle banner - Harry Potter: Behind the Magic and Harry Potter: The Costume Drama were shown in July on ITV1.

Broadcast coincided with the launch of the new Warner Bros. film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Both programmes were presented by GMTV’s Ben Shephard, and produced and directed by Catherine Whelton. The production team had unprecedented access on the Harry Potter set and the programmes included interviews with the cast including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, Helena Bonham-Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Imelda Staunton. They were commissioned by ITV’s then Controller of Daytime, Liam Keelan who says ‘Kindle have done a fantastic job with the Harry Potter documentaries. They’ve got great access to all the stars and have created a genuine sense of anticipation for the film.’

Behind the Magic was watched by 3.4 million viewers and peaked at 3.7, winning its slot.
