Dustbin Baby is a powerful family drama which tells the heartbreaking but ultimately uplifting story of teenager April (Dakota Blue Richard, who sets out to discover where she came from, and on the way discovers where she belongs.

On the morning of her 14th birthday, April argues with her mother, Marion (Juliet Stevenson), and walks out determined to find out the truth about her past. She doesn't know where her journey will take her but now she's started it there's no going back.

As Marion searches frantically for her, their journeys taken them on a course that will change their lives forever.

With a screenplay by Helen Blakeman (Pleasureland), the producers behind Dustbin Baby are the BAFTA and International EMMY award winning team at Kindle Entertainment, Executive Producers Anne Brogan and Melanie Stokes, and Producer Julia Ouston, along with BAFTA winning Director Juliet May. The film was shot on location in and around London including Hatfield House and High Barnet. ITV Global Entertainment Ltd are distributing Dustbin Baby internationally.

Big and Small

The first series of Big and Small is now airing daily at 8.30am on BBC2, 3.05pm on BBC1, and a B&S music video on CBeebies at 3.40pm.

Do your parents bug you? With tiny microphones?

The Bannons are not your average family - but with two retired super-spies as parents, the children were destined to be anything but ordinary! After fighting the world's most nefarious villains, the family must now take on new challenges - from fancy-dress fun runs to school quiz nights, life will never be the same again! My Spy Family shows everyday on Boomerang, and recently completed production on it's fourth series.

Paul Alexander is the creative talent behind the show and brings a wealth of fantastic writing experience, having written for a range of shows including the hugely popular My Parents are Aliens, My Family and My Hero. It is produced by Bernard Krichefski, and stars Milo Twomey and Natasha Beaumont as the Bannon parents, Dirk and Talia; Vas Blackwood as Des, their colleague from spying days, and Ramon Tikaram as Mr Vong, the teacher guaranteed to make his pupils life a misery – just by existing. The Bannon family are played by Alice Connor, Joe Tracini and Ignat Pakhotin.

Cecilia Persson, VP of Programming, Acquisition and Presentation for Turner Kids says ’My Spy Family marks a major investment in comedy content for Boomerang. Following on from the recent opening of the Cartoon Network Development Studios in the UK, we’re pleased to be able to continue our support of original UK kids’ programming by commissioning a series that promises to have an abundance of humour and appeal.’



Harry Potter: Behind The Magic



The first programmes under the Kindle banner - Harry Potter: Behind the Magic and Harry Potter: The Costume Drama were shown in July on ITV1.

Broadcast coincided with the launch of the new Warner Bros. film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Both programmes were presented by GMTV’s Ben Shephard, and produced and directed by Catherine Whelton. The production team had unprecedented access on the Harry Potter set and the programmes included interviews with the cast including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, Helena Bonham-Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Imelda Staunton. They were commissioned by ITV’s then Controller of Daytime, Liam Keelan who says ‘Kindle have done a fantastic job with the Harry Potter documentaries. They’ve got great access to all the stars and have created a genuine sense of anticipation for the film.’

Behind the Magic was watched by 3.4 million viewers and peaked at 3.7, winning its slot.
