Written by Lin Coghlan and directed by BAFTA award-winning director Marc Munden, Some Dogs Bite is a tough but tender story about Britain's lost youth. Starring Thomas Brodie Sangster, Aaron Taylor and Michelle Asante, Some Dogs Bite is the story of three brothers on the road and on the run. When 15 year old Casey takes his baby brother from foster care, older brother H is forced to look after them both. Jinx
Jinx, is a 13 x 30’ magical sitcom for 6 to 12 year olds produced by Kindle Entertainment. Jinx is based on the already successful books from the 'Lulu Baker' trilogy by Fiona Dunbar. The comedy-drama series charts the adventures of Lulu Baker, who might look like your typical teen, but she's got a very cool secret – she’s the proud owner of a magic cookbook. She can turn a rat into her partner for the local dance competition, bake several gingerbread versions of her friend to help him with his busy schedule, or go back in time five minutes to stop herself making a gigantic fool of herself at her party.
The possibilities are endless and life would be perfect except that the guardian of the book, Cookie, is a mischievous imp and her recipes never quite turn out as Lulu planned. So, the rat-boy turns out to be hairier than expected, the gingerbread version of her friend starts to nibble his own fingers and she ends up repeating the party over and over...and over. But, hey, with big power comes big responsibility, right? And Lulu always tries really hard to fix the unforeseen side-effects…
The series is currently in pre-production and begins shooting this July. Lulu Baker has already been published in the UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Hungary, Eastern Europe, Japan and France.
Anke Stoll, Head of Acquisitions & Co-Productions at Little Portman (part of the Digital Rights Group) said, “We’re thrilled to be distributing such an exciting children’s show to the world. With the Lulu Baker books already a big success in major territories we know that many tweens are waiting to see Lulu Baker and her magic cookbook brought to life on their screens. We look forward to delivering this spellbinding series to them later this year.”
Melanie Stokes, Co-Director and Executive Producer at Kindle Entertainment said, “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Little Portman on this magical new comedy and believe it has all the essential ingredients to be a truly entertaining, aspirational show for tweens everywhere.”
Anne Gilchrist, Controller of CBBC said, "Based on the Lulu Baker books, mysterious recipes, unusual ingredients and magical cookery come together in Jinx to provide a perfect mix of comedy and entertainment which will delight CBBC's audience of six to twelve years olds."

Thank you so much for making this show, it is an absolute pleasure to watch'. Gilly Fogg, Canada
'My children love Big and Small - we all sit down together which is really nice to have a programme that we all find funny!! My children cant stop singing the songs after the show has finished too!!' Parent on CBeebies Messageboard
'Finlay likes Big and Small and Winnie the Pooh at the moment…I think it is important that shows don’t necessarily have an educational element, but more that they assist in the child’s development. For example, Fin laughs out loud at the Big and Small jokes and I love the fact that it is developing his sense of humour.' Parent on Licensing.biz

Big and Small, is a co-production between Kindle Entertainment and 3J’s Productions, produced in association with Treehouse in Canada and Studio 100. World leading puppet workshop, The Grogs, bring their exceptional talent to the puppetry which combines the imagination of animation with the warmth of puppets. The series has great stories packed with humour, laugh-out-loud moments and highly memorable songs which will appeal to children (aged 3-6 years) and their parents. The show follows the adventures of Big and Small, two best friends, as they try to live together in a chaotic house and garden, in the country. Big is a hugely huggable character - a gentle but determined dreamer; Small is fast, loud and full of energy. They couldn’t be more different from each other, but together they create an explosion of laughs as well as some genuinely touching moments of friendship and understanding.
The show aims to open children’s minds to a variety of outlooks on the world. Each story revolves around the comedy of Big and Small’s contrasting approaches to life, and so encourages young children to appreciate that people have many different ideas and opinions.
For CBeebies, the voice talent will be provided by two legendary British personalities. Actor and comedian, Lenny Henry, brings his comic talent to the voices for both Big and Small, while actress Imelda Staunton brings her distinctive warmth and charm to the voices of Big and Small’s neighbours and friends, Ruby the mouse and Twiba, the worm. The Canadian series will feature the voice talent of Jason Hopley (Small), Todd Duldersum (Big) and Jamie Shannon (Ruby and Twiba).
A long term licensing programme and strategy has been developed to support the property which will focus on key aspects of the show, including music and the concept of perspective, through the development of combinations of complementary big and small items. The licensing programme is scheduled to roll out at the end of 2008 and will initially include toys, apparel, music downloads and plush.
Anne Brogan comments, ‘Big and Small stands out in the kids’ marketplace as a truly funny, clever show with immensely loveable characters that is set to win the hearts of both children and their parents big and small people alike. CBeebies provides the perfect platform to broadcast this high quality pre-school production and together we are committed to ensuring it achieves the success that it deserves.’
Michael Carrington, Controller of CBeebies, comments: ‘I can barely contain my excitement at bringing this brand new series to the BBC’s youngest audiences. The idea is compelling, the scripts well crafted, and Big & Small are hilarious it’s bound to be a winner!’

Kindle are due
to begin shooting a family movie Journey Through Midnight in
partnership with the Children’s Film and Television Foundation, in
India next year.
The original story was written by Jamila Gavin and has been adapted
by John Hay and Dave Logan. It is a story with great emotional depth
and huge resonance for the world we live in today, divided more than
ever by religious conflict. Jamila Gavin also wrote The Coram Boy which has
received critical acclaim in both London and New York.
Journey Through Midnight is set in the Punjab, in 1947, where
Harold Chadwick runs a missionary school. His daughter Edith, and
Marvinder, the daughter of Harold’s ex-pupil, Govind Singh, have
grown up together and become firm friends but the world they know is
about to end for ever. Both families are torn apart by the events of
partition.
John Hay will direct, with Timothy Spall is attached to play Harold, and
Jimi Mistry, Govind. The young cast recently attended World Water
Day at the House of Lords to give their support to the initiative to
bring clean water to every child in the world.
